It took me a few years to realize that the industry I was working in was rigged.
Excerpt: The BSISI wanted more from this dumb job. I wanted more from Life. If the "high end" companies have a certain barrier for entry, then I would try my best to shoot for those stars. This may sound shocking to some people, but as a low level security guard, your biggest adversary is Law Enforcement. They will be there to make sure your employer earns, or loses, an insurance or liability payout. Your job as a "gig" employee… is to get fired. Your job as a guard is to be replaceable. Even at the highest mercenary level, guards are deemed expendable.
So why not aim for that big job in the sky!? Army Special Forces? Marine Recon? Never Navy Seal though. I thought to myself "I would rather join the U.S. Marshals, or even the FBI, before I continue on the path of a security industry bullshitter." Due to a few unfortunate circumstances even the U.S. Army has delayed my enlistment. While I waited, I decided to experiment with my motivation and found myself in this arena.
There is no bullshit with these people. You can either do the job or you can't do the job. That is it.
